AWS Elastic Block Store (EBS) is Amazon's block-level storage solution used with the EC2 cloud service to store persistent data. This means that the data is kept on the AWS EBS servers even when the EC2 instances are shut down. Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) provides block level storage volumes for use with EC2 instances. EBS volumes behave like raw, unformatted block devices.
Amazon EBS provides the following volume types, which differ in performance characteristics and price, so that you can tailor your storage performance and cost to the needs of your applications.
Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS) is a simple, serverless, set-and-forget, elastic file system. There is no minimum fee or setup charge. You pay only for the storage you use, for read and write access to data stored in Infrequent Access storage classes, and for any provisioned throughput. Amazon EFS has a simple web services interface that allows to create and configure file systems quickly and easily. Amazon EFS is designed to provide the throughput, IOPS, and low latency needed for a broad range of workloads.
Amazon FSx lets you optimize your price and performance to support a broad spectrum of use cases, from small user shares to the most demanding compute-intensive workloads. It makes it easy and cost effective to launch, run, and scale feature-rich, high-performance file systems in the cloud. It supports a wide range of workloads with its reliability, security, scalability, and broad set of capabilities. To ensure high availability and durability, Amazon FSx automatically replicates your data within or across AWS Availability Zones to protect it from component failure, continuously monitors for hardware failures, and automatically replaces infrastructure components or switches to a stand-by file server in the event of a failure.
Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) is an object storage service that offers industry-leading scalability, data availability, security, and performance. It is a scalable, high-speed, web-based cloud storage service. The service is designed for online backup and archiving of data and applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS). S3 is ideal for a wide range of uses like data storage, data backup, software delivery, data archiving, disaster recovery, website hosting, mobile applications, IoT devices, and much more.
AWS Snowball is a service that provides secure, rugged devices, so you can bring AWS computing and storage capabilities to your edge environments, and transfer data into and out of AWS. It accelerates moving large amounts of data into and out of the AWS cloud using portable storage devices for transport. Transferring data with Snowball is simple, fast, secure and one-fifth of the cost of the high-speed internet. Snowball provides tamper-resistant enclosures, 256-bit encryption, and an industry-standard Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to ensure security.
AWS Backup is a fully managed backup service that makes it easy to centralize and automate the back up of data across AWS services in the cloud as well as on premises using the AWS Storage Gateway. AWS Backup integrates with AWS Storage Gateway, a hybrid cloud storage service that enables your on-premises applications to seamlessly use AWS storage. Using this service, you can configure backup policies and monitor activity for your AWS resources in one place. It allows you to automate and consolidate backup tasks that were previously performed service-by-service and removes the need to create custom scripts and manual processes.
AWS Storage Gateway is a hybrid cloud storage service that gives you on-premises access to virtually unlimited cloud storage. Storage Gateway provides a standard set of storage protocols such as iSCSI, SMB, and NFS, which allow you to use AWS storage without rewriting your existing applications. Storage Gateway is fast and easy to deploy, enabling you to integrate it with your existing environments and access AWS Storage in a frictionless manner.
Amazon Glacier, is a low-cost cloud storage service for data with longer retrieval times offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Amazon Glacier provides storage for data archiving and backup of cold data. With S3 Glacier, you can store your data cost effectively for months, years, or even decades. S3 Glacier helps you offload the administrative burdens of operating and scaling storage to AWS.
Three Amazon S3 Glacier archive storage class types are:

Cloud storage is a cloud computing model that stores data on the Internet through a cloud computing provider that manages and operates the data storage as a service. Delivered on demand with just-in-time capacity and cost, it eliminates the purchase and management of your own storage infrastructure. This gives you agility, global scale and resilience with "anytime, anywhere" data access.
